This website, abugfreemind.com, is run by Look Like Fred Limited (company number 07013145), trading as A Bug Free Mind ("we", "us", "our"). It sells Andy Shaw's two-book process, Creating A Bug Free Mind and Using A Bug Free Mind, in paperback and audio, and gives away the free Manifest $75 exercise.
Our postal address is 8 Mallett Close, Seaford, East Sussex, BN25 1JE, United Kingdom. We are the data controller for the personal data described in this policy. The quickest way to reach us about your data is through our support suite or the contact page.
This policy applies to abugfreemind.com and the emails we send you. It does not cover other websites we link to, including Amazon, YouTube and Goodreads, which have their own privacy policies.
If you put your email address into one of our opt-in forms (for example to get the free Manifest $75 exercise or the free chapters) we collect your email address and, if you give them, your name and phone number. We use it to send you what you asked for, and then our emails about the process and the books. Every email we send has an unsubscribe link, and you can stop them at any time.
Orders are taken through our secure Shopify checkout. Shopify collects your name, email address, delivery address, telephone number (if given) and payment details, and passes the order details (not your card number) to us so we can dispatch your books, send you your audio downloads and deal with any question, return or refund. We never see or store your full card details.
If you open a support ticket or use a contact form, we keep what you send us, your name and your email address so that we can answer you and keep a record of the conversation.
If you send us a testimonial or feedback about the books we keep it, with the name you give, and we may publish it on this site in the form you sent it. Tell us if you would rather we used your initials or no name at all, or if you later want it taken down.
Like most websites we record technical information about your visit: your IP address, browser type, device, the pages you look at, how you arrived here and when. This comes from our server logs, from Google Analytics and from the WP Statistics plugin. We use it to keep the site working and secure and to see which pages people find useful. See the cookies section below.
We do not knowingly collect data from anyone under 16, and we do not use your data for automated decision-making or profiling that has a legal effect on you.
We do not sell your data and we do not share it with third parties for their own marketing. We share it only with the services we use to run this business, who process it on our instructions:
Some of these providers are based outside the United Kingdom, including in the United States. Where that is the case the transfer is covered by the UK International Data Transfer Agreement or an adequacy decision, or by the provider's own approved safeguards.
We will also disclose personal data if the law requires it, or to protect our rights, property or safety or those of others.
A cookie is a small text file placed on your device by a website. We use:
You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings. If you do, some parts of the site, including the checkout, may not work properly. The free exercise and newsletter emails may also record whether an email was opened or a link clicked, so that we know what is useful; unsubscribing stops this.
Under UK GDPR you have the right to:
To use any of these rights, open a ticket in our support suite or write to us at the address above. We will answer within one month and will not charge you. We may ask you to confirm who you are first.
The site runs over HTTPS, so what you type is encrypted on its way to us. Payments are taken by Shopify on its secure checkout and we never hold your card details. Access to customer data is limited to the people who need it to run the business. No system is completely secure, and if we ever suffer a breach that puts your rights at risk we will tell you and the Information Commissioner's Office as the law requires.
Questions about this policy or your data: open a ticket in our support suite or write to Look Like Fred Limited, 8 Mallett Close, Seaford, East Sussex, BN25 1JE, United Kingdom.
If you are not happy with how we have handled your data you have the right to complain to the UK regulator, the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO): ico.org.uk/make-a-complaint, telephone 0303 123 1113, or by post to Information Commissioner's Office, Wycliffe House, Water Lane, Wilmslow, Cheshire SK9 5AF. We would ask that you give us the chance to put things right first.
We may update this policy from time to time. When we do, we will change the date at the top and, for any significant change, put a notice on the home page or email you.
